- For other games in the series, see The Legend of Zelda.
The Legend of Zelda is a top-down adventure game with a fantasy setting. You play the role of a young elfin boy from Hyrule named Link who is trying to rescue the princess Zelda from an evil monster named Ganon. In order to do this, you must travel through the dangerous land of Hyrule, defeating monsters, uncovering secrets, and delving into underground dungeons to find 8 shards of a legendary artifact known as the Triforce.
This is the first game in a huge franchise and it defined many of the tropes we see in later games including rupees, hearts for hit points, boomerangs, wizzrobes, and of course, the golden game cartridge.

VGMPF Album Art Character sprites for game maker. Piskel, free online sprite editor. A simple web-based tool for Spriting and Pixel art. Create pixel art, game sprites and animated GIFs. Free and open-source. The game engine now needs additional information to draw the sprite: It needs to know where the sprite is located and how much transparency was removed. This information can be stored in a data file that is shipped with the sprite sheet. It does not only contain the coordinates but can also contain names for the sprites and other meta information. May 01, 2019 2D Sprites are the visual building blocks of almost all mobile games and the pixel art style that has become synonymous with video games is still a popular choice amongst game developers today. With pixel art and 2D sprites, you can quickly animate your game objects and create a dynamic viewing experience for your players. Create Sprite. Create a new LED sprite pointing to the right. The Legend of Zelda was early in the NES market, so it isn't expected to be awesome, but there are still several iconic tunes. The title music is especially memorable, and some of the other songs will be popular with anyone one who has played the game. Titles come from the Famicom 20th Anniversary - Original Sound Tracks, Vol.1 album, but some of the shorter jingles were never officially released.
To create the music for the game, Kondo most likely originally wrote it on piano, and then converted it to his NES sound driver by entering the music in 6502 assembly macros.
The FDS version of the game had different game over and ending music which has yet to be ripped or recorded. It will be added to this page when it is completed.

The credits are displayed after completing the game. The Famicom Disk System version uses a different text font than the NES version. Other than that, both are exactly the same.

The NSFE rip is missing some tracks that can be found in the NSF rip. Ripping NES music is a very arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site.
